Jack Dee opens the Aldeburgh Comedy Weekend on 16 October and Sutton Hoo's torchlit tales start on the 23rd. 40 dated listings from Woodbridge to Snape.

The six weeks ahead on this coast have two peaks. The first is the Aldeburgh Comedy Weekend, Friday 16 to Sunday 18 October, which Jack Dee opens at the Jubilee Hall. The second is half term, when Sutton Hoo runs its Tales by Torchlight walks from Friday 23 October and the Seckford Theatre in Woodbridge stages two musicals in eight days.

Every listing below was checked on 2 or 4 October 2026 against the organiser’s or the host venue’s own page, and each one links back to it. Prices are given only where the organiser publishes them. Dates can change, so use the link before you travel. For places that are open whatever the month, see our guide to things to do in Woodbridge.

One warning for the second half of the month: the East Suffolk line is shut between Ipswich and Halesworth from 24 October to 1 November, which covers every half-term listing here. Our page on the line closure has the details.
